Face lift
Face lift surgery aims to reduce the obvious facial lines and wrinkles. The proficient surgeon will remove the excess fat under the skin, lift and tighten the muscle and lift up facial skin to brighten the face. Face lift surgery solves problems of sagging cheek, deep fold on the lower eyelid, deep cheek and sagging chin. Furthermore, face lift surgery can be combined with other types of face surgery such as forehead lift surgery, eyelid surgery, forehead lift surgery, face liposuction, chin augmentation or rhinoplasty for the highest satisfaction of patient.

Preparing for Surgery
1. Inform about drug allergy record, medicine or supplementary food currently in use before surgery.
2. Consult with doctor and inform surgeon if there is congenital disease such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Asthma, Heart disease. Do not stop taking the medicine for control blood pressure or diabetes as well as the medicine for congenital disease.
3. Stop taking aspirin, ibuprofen and Vitamin E for 2 weeks prior to the surgery.
4. Stop smoking for 2 weeks before and after surgery.
5. Wash the hair and stop using hair oil or hair gel.
6. Prepare the shirt with the front button and cover in case of going out.

Surgery and Types of Anesthesia 
Surgical incision begins from the hair line near the temple, down to the front of ear, encircle the earlobe to the back of ear and possibly reach the lower scalp depending on the face structure. For muscle and facial skin, surgeon will lift up and remove the excess skin. The incised wound from face and neck life is invisible. This surgery reduces facial and neck wrinkles. Anesthesia or local anesthetic can be applied.

Complications or Possible Side-Effect after Surgery
• Pain but can relieve with painkiller.
• Feel numb on the face that will disappear within 6 months or one year.

Treatment after Surgery and Recovery
1. After surgery, surgeon will cover the head with bandage to reduce swelling. It can be taken off after 3 days. Then, avoid getting wet on the wound until stitch off.
2. Recuperate for one week before returning to work. Stitch off after 7-14 days.
3. Stop doing activities that affect the wound such as exercise, doing housework, engage in sexual intercourse, steaming and other activities affecting blood pressure.
4. Stop drinking alcohol, smoking at least 2 weeks.
5. Have enough rest for fast recovery.

Forehead lift
Forehead consists of removable muscle that can be adjusted. Forehead lift will eliminate or reduce the deep fold efficiently. Forehead lift is the surgery for facial rejuvenation by having surgery on the forehead or the part above the eyes. It improves the forehead lines that are the result of emotional expression. This type of surgery is appropriate for people aged between 40-60 years old who are in the period that the lines and wrinkles are obvious. However, it is suitable for people in other ages who have the problem with forehead wrinkles. Generally, forehead lift is operated at the same time with face lift surgery and sometimes lower-blepharoplasty surgery or eyelid surgery. This is because the patients who have forehead lift surgery are aged and would like to look young again. Therefore, they decide to have several surgeries at the same time.

Preparing for Surgery

Forehead lift surgery with anesthesia will take about 1-2 hours. The incised wound will be invisible under the hair line above the ear to another.

Possible Complications and Side-Effects after Surgery
1. Pain but can relieve with painkiller.
2. Surgeon operates jaw surgery as recommended.
3. Feel nub on the forehead. This symptom will disappear within one year.

Post-Surgery Treatment and Recover

Jaw Surgery for V-Shape
Preparing before Jaw Surgery
1. Stop taking anti-inflammatory drug such as aspirin, cigarette, supplementary food that affect blood clotting such as garlic or fish oil for 2 weeks prior to the surgery.
2. Herbs such as Evening-primroses, concentrated Vitamin E, food with MSG, garlic, onion and soybean products may cause abnormal bleeding or other problems during surgery. Please inform the doctor because the patient may have to stop taking herb for 3-5 days before surgery.
3. No food and drink for 6 hours before surgery.
4. Be prepared to take 10-14 days off since the swelling will be better within one week.
5. Consult the surgeon of the amount and size of jaw to be removed.
6. Inform the surgeon about congenital disease, if any.

Jaw Surgery Procedure
Before surgery, the surgeon will check the jaw bone from x-ray film to see the possibility of the shape. Anesthetic is used to prevent the sore or pain while operating. It is oral surgery to hide the incised wound in the gum behind the last tooth in the mount. It needs the skillful surgeon to perform this surgery with the special equipment that can saw the jaw bone in the restricted area. However, with the proficiency of the surgeon, this is simple, safe and not difficult. Moreover, it will not have any effect on facial nerve. Oral cavity surgery will be operated at the gum behind the molar tooth to the corner of the jaw bone and adjust it as desired. The whole jaw bone can be adjusted so it results in the perfect curve jaw bone.

Post-Surgery Treatment
1. Face swelling remains for 3 weeks after surgery. Recuperate in the hospital for 2-3 days to observe and to take care oral hygiene.
2. Food is not allowed on the first day after surgery to prevent food scraps to infect the wound.
3. Only have milk, juice, soft diet and take regular meal orderly.
4. Try to open the mouth often to avoid the fascia.
5. Apply cold compress with cold water to the cheek for 7 days.
6. Polydioxanone is used, so no need to stitch off.
7. Wash the mouth with clean water regularly to wash out the blood.
8. Lymphatic drainage tube remains for 1-2 days.
9. Some bruise at the neck and under chin may be found. Seven days after surgery, apply warm compress to reduce the bruise.
10. It takes about 2-3 weeks to get full recovery.
11. In case of oral surgery, the patient should open the mouth frequently to prevent the fascia around the molar and jaw.

Cheek Surgery
Cheekbone Reduction
It is one type of facial surgery. Cheekbone is one of components to support the beauty. Number of women are concerned with the imperfect face shape, particularly the bulgy or flat cheekbone that make them have less confidence. However, there is the solution to this problem. At present, cheekbone reduction surgery is introduced. Cheekbone is the main structure on the center of the face that identifies the gender. Men has high cheekbone; the cheekbone is obvious and has less fat on the cheek. The surgeon will reduce the height of the cheekbone by grinding the bone, which will not reduce much height. In case the surgeon needs to reduce lot of height, cutting technique will be applied. Grinding or resection cheekbone, the incision will be in the mouth or under the eyes so the incised wound is invisible. Polydioxanone will be used in this type of surgery. The surgery takes about 3-4 hours.

Preparing for Cheek Surgery
Inform about drug allergy, medicine or supplementary food that is in use before surgery. Inform the surgeon about congenital disease in advance. Stop taking aspirin, ibuprofen and Vitamin E for 2 weeks before surgery. Stop smoking before surgery for 2 weeks and for 4 weeks after surgery.

Cheekbone Surgery Procedure
1. Bone grinding is a non-complicated surgery and cause less problems. However, the thickness of cheekbone is less than 0.5 centimeter. Thus, grinding will not reduce much height. If grinding goes over the bone thickness, it will reach the sinus. As a result, there is no obvious difference between before and after surgery. However, grinding will be successful in case that the patient has the cheekbone tumor, which will have a thicker bone.
2. Cheekbone resection is the big and complex operation. Therefore, facial bones x-ray is needed before surgery. Measure the length and width of angles and plan deliberately before as well as during the surgery.

Post-Surgery Treatment
The patient should lie down with the head is raised higher than the body. Apply cold compress with ice pack to the
cheek during the first 24-48 hours after surgery. Food is not allowed for 24 hours to prevent the effect on the incised wound and infection. The patient should regularly wash the mouth with the mouthwash prescribed by the doctor as well as wash the mouth after meal with Hydrogen peroxide to disinfect. All activities that increase blood pressure are not allowed such as jogging, swimming or bending. The suture will disappear within 7-10 days after surgery. The possible side-effects are the bruise and numb on the cheek which will relieve within one or 2 months. To relieve this symptom, take the medicine as recommended by the doctor. Moreover, the patient may have chewing problem in the first few days after surgery. The seriousness and duration of side-effects are different, particularly if the patient has other surgery.
